I am sure you're all well aware of the end of term being yesterday, thusly marking Regulus arriving home after completing his seventh year. I would very much like to plan a dinner for the entire family to celebrate, one that I have been looking into for quite some time and though it may be a bit last minute demand do hope that you will be able to tell me what night would best suit your own schedules. They will somewhat be taken into consideration in selecting a final date once I speak to the florist again tomorrow.

While it is regrettable that so many horrors are continuing to take place in the world, I myself find myself at ease knowing that my son has returned home once more. And at that, due to his completion of his schooling, will no longer have to worry about what sort of things that Albus Dumbledore's trying to fill his head with.

WARDED TO REGULUS:

Seeing as it was a concern of yours, I thought it'd be a good point to tell you that your father will continue to has seen to the wards that were mostly dismantled by. On that note of mentions recently, you should have no reason to worry about your father perishing because his entire body is practically pickled from all of the alcohol he ingests on a daily basis.

That being said, how are your studies going? There's no doubt in my mind that with NEWTs very much on the horizon for you, Regulus, that the majority of your efforts are being put towards studying them.

WARDED TO CYGNUS:

Brother, we have not spoken in quite some time. I sincerely dislike the thought that you could be avoiding me, Cygnus. In times such as this when we have the Department of Magical Law Enforcement trying to persecute both sides of the family, it would be remiss of either of us not to keep open some line of communication.

I believe a tea is in order. It goes without saying that as of late we've all found ourselves some manner of outraged at different events that have transpired, and a joining of minds could benefit us greatly. We all have our charitable endeavors and families to tend to, this I am aware of, yet that is also part of my point entirely. Nothing untowards the younger women within our circle of families - nor our husbands, but it's between ourselves that things are kept running smoothly behind the scenes, when all is said and done. In pooling our thoughts and resources, I am personally of the belief that we can accomplish much more in combating the filth our children are forced to endure rather than writing a howler or an owl should something come up that warrants such.

There are contemporaries such as His servants and that odious vigilante organization, so this may be far overdue.

WARDED TO REGULUS:

Your father has told me that he's spoken with you in regards to potentially sending you to Durmstrang to complete your schooling. As of yet a decision has not been made on my part, though I would care to hear your thoughts on the subject.

It is such a shame to see certain people in positions of power spending their time debunking rumours of any sort of candidacy for Minister of Magic - when it wasn't as if anyone truly would support such a thing given recent times and failures - while they could be doing much more with their obviously valuable time. Words are one thing, but it is action we need.

With this knowledge that has become publicly known, I couldn't help but notice the fact that you yourself work in the office of the obviously depraved Minister Flint. I am sure you know that as the daughter of my beloved cousin, I think quite highly of you, but can only hope that you haven't found yourself pulled into such a scandal. Again, this is not to point any sort of fingers, only to look out for your best interest when there is such a man in the position he is. If nothing else, I would advise you to be mindful whilst in his company; who knows what he will attempt to do next.

Something must be done about these new developments, for I will not let a man bent on destroying our community in a degenerate manner as this, stay. Expressly not when there are so many Ministry employees who are ready to throw up their arms to praise - and defend! - him when he has committed such a grievous act. Together we have pull - and say! - in the going ons of our world, so now isn't the time to forget that.

That Ms Skeeter's correct in that we do have a right to know what the despicable, repulsive, loathsome and monstrous man we call Minister for Magic is up to. He may very well have a private life, but we are now supposed to ignore that once it's been thrown into our faces? I expect he shall be done away with as quickly as possible seeing as this has come to light. I simply don't understand. I simply do not understand how some young women are appearing to want to shirk their duties. Perhaps this is to be expected of Miss Burke, what with her having gone into training as a hitwizard and now apparently thinking she knows best as far as how things of this nature should be taken care of. What's worse, I then have my own niece trying to interject with what she tries to play off as sagely wisdom. Bellatrix, the very same that has yet to produce any heirs of her own.

I pity Druella for having to put up with such animadversion. Though, as if it leaves anyone any reason to wonder exactly where she went wrong with Andromeda. My poor brother; I told him this union would not be without repercussions. Did he listen? Of course not, yet one day I expect to hear him state how very wrong he was. Cygnus owes that much to me after I am continually forced to endure this all in my attempts to keep our family from being tarnished any further.

At least Regulus is intelligent enough to not fall into these same traps. No, he is a wonderful example of what is to be expected from Purebloods such as we and he knows how to follow through with such. I can only hope that none of these girls who apparently see to derail their familial lines think they have any future within my own. I won't stand for it.

I don't see why this trial is taking so long. It is almost beginning to seem as if there is something afoot as far as trying to sway the outcome of such. After the Department of Magical Law Enforcement has supposedly worked so long and tirelessly to apprehend Death Eaters over the course of recent months, you would think they had proven themselves somewhat competent with the apprehension of the Savage character. Which, by the way, apparently is a rather fitting name for such a beast as would do this. However, it has been four days and still we have no verdict? What more proof could possibly be needed? He was found at the scene were Vultus and Domina were murdered, yet apparently that is not enough to bring their untimely and devastating deaths to justice.

As a concerned member of this community, I rather do not think this is such a terrible feat to ask for.

WARDED TO REGAN PARKINSON:

How have your holidays been treating you and your family? Quite well I hope, especially seeing as I was discussing the upcoming gathering on New Years Eve with Regulus just this morning and your name came into play. He said it would be nice to see you again.

WARDED TO BELLATRIX & ORION:

It rather saddens me that I have to be having this conversation with the two of you; especially you, Bellatrix. I'd meant to address this earlier, but was caught up in the holidays. Now, I understand that this time of year comes along with a required amount of cheer - or whatever you would like to call it - but that display the other night was unacceptable. Do not ask me to clarify, Orion, for you know exactly what I speak of.

We have a certain sense of decorum we are expected to uphold, coming from the family we have. A sense of decorum that was nowhere in sight as you two saw to imbibe to such a degree and drunkenly make a mockery of said family. One could argue that this was simply one of your bi-monthly exercises in making a fool out of yourself, husband of mine, but I won't stand for anything like this at this point. Especially not with Regulus home and expressly not come Friday night.

Consider yourselves duly warned of what will happen should either of you find need to have a repeat of this.

WARDED TO NARCISSA:

And to think, the year is nearly over and it feels like only yesterday it begun. It's almost jarring to think my Regulus will be leaving Hogwarts in a number of months time. I can remember when he was only a small boy and now he has come home for holiday taller than when he left, looking very much the part of a distinguished young man. One who will surely excel at whatever he sets his mind to, undoubtedly so having had such influences like Lucius and Rodolphus. I couldn't be more proud of my son.

WARDED PRIVATE:

Orion's forty-fourth birthday was today. My forty-eighth is on Tuesday. This is distressing; I am becoming old. At least my dear Regulus will be home by then, so I will no need to pay attention to this fact, then - however distressing it might be.

WARDED TO BARTEMIUS:

The invitations to the annual New Year's fete Orion and I are throwing have been sent out. I'm certain Honoria will alert you of this when she receives the one that has been sent to your family, but with your past history for an aversion to these types of things I felt the need to inform you personally, Bartemius. I would hate to not see your wife, young Bartemius jr and you in attendance.

How are you, and they for that matter, doing?

The invitations have been sent out, so if there is an influx of owls in the near future that is why - responses. I'd hate for you to decide to be overly paranoid yet again and think it's some attack of sorts besieging you.

That being said, I suppose I should tell you this at some point because I have yet to personally, already: happy birthday. I take it you found the package left for you?

I do not like the cold. While there are many other detestable subjects that could be brought up at the moment (as there are quite a few even exclusive to this week), I feel as if this is the one that currently merits mention. At least there is the weekend to look forward to, which will undoubtedly be wonderful whatever the weather may bring.

WARDED TO EDGAR AND AMELIA BONES:

Seeing as the two of you seem to be the sensible sorts in your family, perhaps one of you should set some sense into your brother. I know that considering Oliver's penchant for mouthing off this is probably easier said than done.

WARDED TO BLACK, LESTRANGE AND MALFOY FAMILIES - MINUS BLOOD TRAITORS:

With the holidays fast approaching I know we will all be very busy, especially when compacted with this Purism Week I have heard of; my congratulations on coming up with such a magnificent idea in the first place, Lucius and Narcissa. However, we should not lose sight of the importance of our familial duties.

Regulus will be coming home for Christmas break and I think this will be a grand opportunity for all of us to gather. Seeing as we wouldn't have this chance again until he has left Hogwarts, I implore you all to tentatively schedule having dinner together at some point while he is home. While you may not have married my nieces, I include you in that as well, Rabastan. A date has not yet been set for I still have to work in other events into my schedule, but as developments come about you all shall be kept abreast of them.

WARDED TO ORION:

Which means that you will be expected to have some degree of sobriety, because the last thing I need is Regulus picking up bad habits from you at this point. Read between the lines if you like, because I am sure there is something not written you can find, as well.

Apparently there is a need for some semblance of decorum on these infernal things.
